October 13-15: Voting Rights Revival Conference in Columbus, Ohio

A coalition of groups is organizing the "Voting Rights Revival Conference, to be held October 13 through 15 at Columbus State Community College, Columbus, Ohio. Speakers from across the country are expected to attend, to draw national attention to the need to energize and empower citizens to protect their right to vote.

Speakers include David Korten, AfD founder Ronnie Dugger, activist Doris "Granny D" Haddock, and Greg Moore, Director of the DNC Voting Rights Institute. Free and open to the public, the conference will focus on concrete election protection to empower Ohio voters on November 7. Workshops will cover new election laws, basic voting procedures, how to work with Boards of Elections, how to make sure your vote is counted, voting rights for people with disabilities, election audits, and other important topics. The goal is to enfranchise all Ohio voters, encourage civic participation, develop local and student leaders, and focus public attention and conversation on the state's election process.
