California clean money ballot question advances

On June 26, the California Secretary of State qualified the Clean Money and Fair Elections Initiative for inclusion on the November ballot. The initiative will transform politics in California by providing public financing for candidates running for State Assembly and Governor. You can help make elections in California about the issues and the voters and not about the wish-lists of big-money donors by signing the California Clean Elections petition here.

Former AfD Vice-Chair Jo Sedita is one of the major organizers of this effort, which has garnered widespread endorsement from labor, community, political and social groups, including the Alliance for Democracy and some California newspapers and assembly members. Congratulations to Jo and to all the Californians who have worked to move this initiative forward!
