Video from the March 7 hearing in Fryeburg, Maine

Here's some video testimony from folks in Fryeburg, Maine, on Nestlé's proposed 25-year contract and 5-year extensions, totaling a 45-year contract with the Fryeburg Water Company, a public utility. This long-term contract, if approved could be a precedent-setting standard for corporate water extraction from a public water supply. Not unexpectedly, residents urged caution in committing the town to such a long-term deal. You can read about the hearing here. Thanks to videographer Martha Speiss for taping the hearing and sharing these clips online. You can check out more of her work here.
