Ruth Caplan on Maine LWV's "Democracy Forum"

AfD's Ruth Caplan will be a guest on a radio program produced by the League of Women Voters Downeast as part of its Democracy Forum series. The program is titled "Corporations and Democracy", and will air on the community radio station WERU FM (89.9 Blue Hill and 102.9 Bangor) at 3 pm EDT, on Saturday, June 7. It will be streamed live on the internet at www.weru.org, and will be archived there under the Voices series, if you cannot catch it live (we'll also have a link to it here).

Also on the program will be Robert A.G. Monks, a Maine businessman and one-time Republican candidate for the state Senate. His new book Corpocracy: How CEOs and the Business Roundtable Hijacked
the World's Greatest Wealth Machine--and How to Get It Back
outlines a "plan for reconciling the competing interests of corporations and society through...shareholder activism." The alternative visions of our future presented by these two formidable speakers should make for a very lively discussion!
