AfD Takes to the Tents in New York City

The Alliance for Democracy was invited to create the Democracy Tent for the April 29 United for Peace and Justice March and Festival for Peace, Justice and Democracy in NYC. AfD co-chair Nancy Price organized the groups tabling in the tent. The focus was on the history of corporate power and "first principles” for creating a real people’s democracy, with individual groups highlighting one or more areas where corporate power impinges on the common good, including water, food, media, health, trade, corporate personhood, election reform and honest elections. Thousands of visitors left with materials and action items to become more immediately involved in the work of each group. You can read about the event and see pictures here
