AfD council member works to protect water quality

At-large Alliance council member David Whitty is working in his hometown to raise awareness of the corporate agenda driving water fluoridization, including the way that corporations control research and permitting. David and his wife Cynthia have organized a documentary film series at the Ashland Public Library on the issue, screening short films from the collection, "Drinking Water: Let the Truth Be Told.". One of the films focused on public health problems in communities in China with naturally-high levels of fluoride in the water, and another on the history of disinformation by government agencies regarding the dangers of excess fluoride exposure. For those who are concerned about this issue, David recommends the website www.fluoridealert.org
